I studied human medicine in Hamburg and was already interested in various natural healing methods at the beginning of my studies. So I decided to do a four-week clinical traineeship in Beijing in my second semester. I was 24 years old at the time.
This is where I caught fire and after my return I took courses at the SMS (Societas Meridiane Sinensis). I attended the acupuncture lectures at Hamburg University until I met Prof. Johannes Greten at a meeting, who invited me to expand my knowledge at the German Society for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Heidelberg.
It was with great pleasure that I regularly attended courses in Heidelberg and in the herb garden in Provence, where my understanding of Chinese medicine was consolidated over the years thanks to the valuable and impressive work of my teacher. The overall picture became clear and concise.
After completing my six-year degree and doctorate, I went to Zurich for five years of specialist training. The wide range of experience I gained, including in intensive care and emergency medicine, impressively showed me how important these areas are and that I wouldn't want to miss any of them as a doctor.
Both the half year in China in Hangzhou, during which I learned from various Chinese doctors in hospitals there, and the three years in my teacher's practice, consolidated my knowledge and gave me profound practical experience. After the three years in Heidelberg, I ended my work there out of a desire to learn more about mental healing based on my broad training in conventional medicine and Chinese medicine.
Overall, I had realized that I wanted to understand and explore yet another level in addition to my very good training.
On this journey, I let my intuition guide me and experienced something “unbelievable” for me at the time.
With Chris Griscom in New Mexico, I learned a method to dissolve ingrained programs and patterns on a cellular level with the help of imaginary colors and light in a therapeutic setting. I personally experienced there that there are ways to positively influence these entrenched programs.
I then flew to Hawaii and spent several months there intensively studying Hawaiian shamanism (known in the West as Huna). I was particularly interested in the area of Hoo'ponopono, which is primarily about relearning our own capacity for acceptance.
In Peru, I met an over 80-year-old shaman with whom I took part in ceremonies.
All these experiences have greatly expanded and changed my world view of medicine.
I learned that it is worth getting in touch with your primal fears and shadow sides in order to free yourself from the emotions that trigger illness. I realized that our subconscious causes these emotions itself due to old ingrained programs and patterns.
“I have experienced that every story can be rewritten if we take responsibility for ourselves and act with emotion and reason at the same time.”
"Today I know that it's about reconnecting feelings and understanding and taking personal responsibility. This allows us to get in touch with our inner, innate life path and ignite our own inner fire."
Many years ago, the Chinese developed a method that restores and supports precisely this connection. This involves opening a special pathway, called chong mai, which is blocked by trauma, stress, accidents and the like.
I have refined this method and have observed that after opening this pathway, patients can once again experience more self-confidence, inner peace, grounding and calm and can let go of control.
It is amazing how life then unfolds.
I am happy to pass on all my knowledge and experience in my practice today and to accompany you on your path.
I enjoy connecting paths and worlds and experiencing and shaping the healing process together with you as something alive.
Yours, Cornelia Dunckel
